M FEIF Gallagher has spent more than five decades at the intersection of athletics and service—as an athlete, coach, mentor, and leader.
From playing sports at age five to playing professional basketball in Germany and coaching at the collegiate level, her foundation in sport has shaped a lifetime commitment to developing others. As a member of countless teams throughout her life, she experienced firsthand the confidence, connection, and sense of belonging that sports can create—an experience that continues to fuel her passion for ensuring individuals of all abilities have the same opportunity to be included, supported, and celebrated.
FEIF has coached and mentored thousands of athletes and coaches across youth, high school, and elite programs, while dedicating over 30 years to Special Olympics in leadership roles spanning local to international competition. A 2024 recipient of the Special Olympics Delaware Lifetime Achievement Award, she is recognized for championing inclusion, fitness, and opportunity for all.
Today, she continues to advance this mission—empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential through sport, wellness, and community.
